Podcast Tour

After participating in a pitch competition, I had the privilege of doing a guest radio and
podcast tour featuring my life, work, and the book I co-wrote with Tracey MacDonald,
The Gift of Shift. What an amazing experience! The more than 30 shows were hosted
by an eclectic group of people, each with their own incredible backstories, from the
daughter of a porn king to a psychic who could barely concentrate during our interview
due to the messages that were coming in for me! I remain in contact with a few of these
hosts today through social media and connected to others forever through shared
experiences — and no, my Dad was not a porn king.

One of the surprises from this journey was The Monday Morning Radio Show hosted by
Dean Rotbart. As a journalism major in university, he was a celebrity in my world as a
Pulitzer Prize-nominated reporter and editor for the Wall Street Journal. I was both
excited and nervous to be interviewed by one of the best in the business. His approach
was different and pushed me to deliver. And when he did his end-of-the-year review, he
gave his top 10 performing shows based on downloads and listens. To my delight, my
show made it! My most challenging interview was also my most rewarding, coming in at
number nine. It’s interesting for all of us to consider how what challenges us also
rewards us.

I am grateful to each host and network for the opportunity this 2022 tour gave me.
Walking through this open door created another field of possibilities, and I now sit in the
interviewer’s seat as I host my own show, Soul CPR Healing Out Loud.
